A National park<\/h3>\n

In 1961 the island was protected by the Mexican government, and it was declared a national park in 1998, many also know it as “The island of birds<\/strong>“. To the south of the island you can visit the Ixlach\u00e9 reef. Which is part of the second barrier reef called the Mesoamerican reef or the Mayan reef.<\/p>\n

Origins of the Island<\/h3>\n
