Coba Plus TourCoba is one of the most important archaeological sites and certainly one of the main cultural and ceremonial centers of the Mayan Zone and the Mayan culture. Its name comes from the five lakes that surround it. This beautiful city, born in the heart of the jungle, and in the middle of the majestic green sea of vegetation around it, which most of the buildings date from the time of Mayan splendor era: between centuries VI and XI. A curious fact is that Coba, architecture and sculpture, is more like Tikal (Mayan city located in Guatemala) and not like the Mayan centers of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is very probable that Coba and Tikal, had a close relationship, especially in regard to trade.
In the Parque Punta Laguna, the predominant vegetation in the area is the jungle, where with luck you can observe deer, jaguar, ocelot, jaguarundi, peccary necklace in the lagoon also inhabit the marsh crocodile ,river crocodile and turtles.
